The video game Saints Row 4 has a whole interlude in which Vice President Keith David* must be rescued from an alien simulation, and Roddy Piper (possibly having died in the simulation?) helps out, including by fighting Keith David as in the alley scene.

Roddy of course voices himself.

It is a very strange game. Even without the alien leader obsessed with Jane Austen.

*Keith David is the Vice President of the United States, with your character (a former crime-boss) as the President, when the aliens attack, due to your character’s pardon after saving the White House from terrorist missile launch. Presumably because “he’s cool”. A previous character in the series was voiced by Keith David before he turned evil, so people keep telling Keith David that he sounds familiar.

The original Saints’ Row was a parody of Grand Theft Auto - so a parody of a thin, often mean-spirited satire that was usually itself just incredibly silly. The collecting of “respect”, refilling health by getting hamburgers from “Freckle Bitch’s”... a gangsta pastiche par excellance. Then Saints 2 started getting weirder. Missions driving a sewage truck spraying sewage on enemies. An evil megacorporation. A voodoo gang. Motorcycle ninjas.

By Saints 3 there were an actual zombie outbreak, Japanese game shows, insane luchadores, an aircraft carrier...

So when I say that Saints 4 has an alien invasion, an alien simulation, and the destruction of earth, with Roddy Piper somewhere in the mix , you will perhaps understand that this was entirely in character for the series.
